With my new PS2 I bought Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs Zeon, a video game reproduction of the original animated series.

Needless to say I am addicted to this game. Graphics are decent enough with a touch of plainness to compliment the TV series roots. Game play is easy, now that I learned triangle is melee attack and right-2 is a melee dash attack. The ground based combat is tedious but the space combat is excellent, fully 3D with no way to right your MS.

The touches from the show are great. Playing as federal forces you get orders from the White Base crew. Lesser known suits, like the Cyan, make it in, making the choice of suits all the more fun. The close adherence to the show plot surprisingly doesn't make the game too linear. There are lots of missions to choose from but just a few that most be accomplished to proceed.

The only part that sucks is when you face a show character, they'll whoop your ass fast.
