When the heck does Engadget publish such blatant rumors without qualification?

“...at least it’ll make it a bit tougher for Apple to justify raising the current 99 cents they’re charging for downloads.”

That rumor surfaced months ago when parties with no relation to Apple started publishing stories that songs will raise 30¢ and albums by a few dollars. Apple came out and said that that's not true and the stories died. Now they're back?
