Where Ideas Come To Die

Miles Have Passed

I was exploring the code behind this blogging software and was amazed at what I used to do on my computer. This thing has trackbacks, comments, ratings and a whole bunch of other neat things that were super popular back in the rise of blogging.

I believe I have forgotten most of it as I haven't really put any of my learned abilities to use in my new job. This is a shame as I used to enjoy working on this and figuring out what made it tick and how to make it better. Now I get stuck calling hotel staff that don't know how to fill out a simple web form.

Happy 2007

Wow. Closing in on a month since I last posted, I'm a slacker.

So here's to a more post friendly 2007.

The Philadelphia Experience

I went up to Philadelphia for the first time in my life today. Here is my one sentence review of it.

“Much nicer than the slum it should be.”

Well, PAD got a 4 Mice in this MacWorld review.

Color me surprised and happy. Read the comments for my note on one of the bugs he experienced.

Descending into a Black Pit of Geekdom

So, I have started a subscription box at the local comic book store, that's not hugely uncommon. However I have an existing pile of graphic novels, trade paperbacks and monthly titles that needed storage. So what do I do?

I of course buy a 100 count backer board package, a 100 count poly bag package and a 300 count storage box. This box will be a holder for the graphic novels and TPBs. I need to go back and pick up a few smaller boxes for the monthly titles and ofcourse I need to buy some dividers to keep the books organized by title.

The Job

So I got myself a job in the tech field, after giving up looking. Isn't that just the bee's knees?

I started this past Wednesday and did some beta/bug testing, license renewal and field work. Good times.
